Alpha and Omega – Win a Trip to Jasper, Alberta (the "Contest")
CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS (the “Contest Rules”)
This Contest is being administered by Paton Publishing and will be sponsored by Maple Pictures Corp and Tourism Alberta (collectively referred to as the “Contest Sponsors”). The Contest begins August 1, 2010 at 9:00am Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) and closes at 11:59pm EST on September 30, 2010 (“Contest Period.”). The act of entering the Contest constitutes acceptance of the Contest Rules and the decisions of the Contest Sponsors.
1. ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who are five (5) years of age or older at the time of entry, excluding residents of Quebec. The Contest is not open to any employees of the Contest Sponsors, employee family members and/or anyone living with an employee, agents or representatives and/or suppliers providing prizes or any other material or services in connection with the Contest or any advertising and promotional organizations or subsidiaries associated with the Contest.
2. TO ENTER: No purchase necessary. Entrants must complete the questionnaire located at http://whoamagazine.com/alpha_and_omega_contest or they can mail in their entry to P.O. Box 80079, 2850 Lake Shore Blvd. W., Toronto, ON, M8V 4A1. All entries must include your name, age, address (street, city, province and postal code) and telephone number or e-mail address. All mail-in entries must be post-marked no later than September 30, 2010 and must be received by October 8th, 2010. Limit of one (1) entry per household, per individual, per day. Limit of one (1) entry per individual per day. If it is discovered that an entrant has entered more than once per day, all of that entrant's entries will be void. All entrants under the age of 13 must have the consent of his/her parent or legal guardian to provide his/her personal information in order to enter the Contest. If a parent or legal guardian does not provide consent, the entry will be disqualified. All information obtained for this Contest will be used only for the purposes of conducting the Contest unless otherwise agreed to by the entrant and his or her parent or legal guardian.
3. PRIZE: There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won consisting of round-trip economy airfare for four (4) to Edmonton, Alberta from a major Canadian airport closest to the Grand Prize winner’s place of residence in Canada (excluding residents of the province of Quebec). Trip also includes a personalized four (4) night Jasper National Park experience with choice from a selection of accommodation (quad occupancy), activities, attractions, select meals, Parks Canada Discovery Passes, Canadian Rockies Hot Springs Passes, and return vehicle rental from Edmonton to Jasper. Subject to space availability (blackout dates may apply), spa treatments are not included. Selections must be made four (4) weeks prior to departure date. Grand Prize travel must be completed within the twelve (12) months following the Contest Period closing date. Prize winner and his/her travelling companion(s) are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein including, without limitation, applicable taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, ground transportation, meals and beverages, room service, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance together with any required travel documentation, and all personal expenses of any kind or nature, together with any applicable overnight layover. Departure dates and accommodation are subject to availability and change without notice or compensation. Prize winner and his/her travelling companion(s) are also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from the Departure Point as the Prize originates and terminates there. It is the sole responsibility of the Prize winner and his/her travelling companion(s) to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas, as applicable and to comply with any customs and immigration requirements. It is recommended that Prize winner and his/her travelling companion(s) obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure. In the event the Grand Prize winner is under the age of majority, he or she must be accompanied by his or her parent or legal guardian at all times while participating in all components of the Grand Prize.

4. DRAW: The draw will take place on or before October 11, 2010 at the offices of Paton Publishing, a division of Metroland Media Group, 3125 Wolfedale Road Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. One (1) potential winner will be selected from all eligible entries received. Chances of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The potential winner, or parents or legal guardians of the potential winner, will be notified by telephone or e-mail, by October 12, 2010 (the “Date of Notification”). The potential winner will be required to answer a time-limited, skill testing question before being declared the winner. Prior to receiving the prize and after correctly answering the skill testing question, the potential winner will be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and release form (the "Release"). The Release will release and indemnify the Contest Sponsors from all liability relating to the Contest and the prize and will confirm the winner’s compliance with the Contest Rules and consent to the possible use of his or her name and photograph, without further compensation, in any publicity carried out by the Contest Sponsors and/or their advertising and promotional agencies. If the Release is not signed and returned to Maple within seven (7) days of the Date of Notification, the prize will be forfeited and another entrant will be selected. The Release must also be executed by the parent or legal guardian of the potential winner in order to be valid. If prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if the potential winner is found to be ineligible pursuant to the Contest Rules, that potential winner will be disqualified, and an alternate entry will be selected.
5. PRIVACY: Personal contact information is used to administer the Contest, including contacting, announcing and promoting the potential prize winner(s). By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the Contest Sponsors use of their first name, age and city of residence for the purposes of being declared a winner without further compensation. 6. OTHER: The decisions of the Contest Sponsors, in their sole discretion, are final and entrants agree to abide by all of the instructions and decisions of the Contest Sponsors. In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these Contest Rules or any decision rendered by the Contest Sponsors, the decision of the Contest Sponsors shall prevail.
7. All entries become the sole property of, and are subject to verification by the Contest Sponsors. Any entry that is illegible, incomplete, altered, or contains false information, is void. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting copies of the Contest Rules or requesting names of prize winners (by e-mail to info@maplepictures.com or by mail to Maple Pictures Corp., 2 Bloor Street West, Suite 1001, Toronto, ON M4W 3E2, attn: Alpha & Omega Contest, for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). The Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for garbled, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected data, mail, voice messages, text messages, e-mails or other communications, for any human errors or technical malfunctions, or for the security or privacy of information transmitted via wireless or other computer networks.
8. If the Contest winner is under the age of majority, he/she must travel with his/her legal guardian. This Contest is governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or modify the Contest or the Contest Rules at any time without notice. All prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-transferable and are not convertible to cash. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute the prize or any portion of the prize with a prize of approximately equal or greater value. The prize will be awarded as-is and no warranties or guarantees are implied or expressed, beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. The odds of winning depend on how many eligible entries are received.
