Xbox Update!
Alright guys, so as I mentioned in a previous blog I was on a mission to get the inside scoop on the new Kinect system from Xbox 360 and I got it! I traveled to Toronto determined to find out what it is about this system that is creating such a buzz. Let me tell you, Kinect is like nothing you’ve ever experienced in your life and will change the way you play video games! I had the privilege to try out over 10 different games and learn the details of how the system actually works. But I couldn’t help but wonder how Kinect was any different than the Nintendo Wii system. My questions were soon answered once I tried out games like Kinectimals where you actually extend your hands out to your favourite pet on the screen and pet them, scratch them and tickle them with no remote control! Unlike the Wii system, Kinect requires you to use your entire body no matter what the game. You can’t just sit on the couch and move the remote control around. Instead, you have to actually get up off the couch and jump hurdles, teach your pet new tricks and dodge obstacles as you do some crazy white water rafting! Not only this, but I also learned that Microsoft and Telus have teamed up with Xbox to create a t.v component which allows you to browse and watch movies, chat and play with friends all by the wave of your hand and point of a finger! The Kinect system will be coming out in Nov. And will cost around $150.00. The price may be steep but the fact that Kinect actively involves both you and your family, it’s so worth it! If you guys have any questions about the system or the games, please blurb me. Can’t wait till November!!
